More details...
Hi everyone! Can’t wait for tomorrow to see you!
Chambers Grove Park is located at the intersection of Hwy 210 and MN 23. Hwy 210 runs from Carlton through Jay Cooke State Park. It is a scenic route and I hope at some point this weekend you take a drive through Jay Cooke to see the gorgeous views. Be sure to stop at the swinging bridge.

If you take 210, the entrance to Chambers Grove Park will be a very sharp right turn as you reach the end of Hwy 210 and before you get to the stop sign for Mn 23. If you are traveling northeast on MN 23, you will make a sharp left turn into the park. The entrance to the park was recently under construction and is still gravel. We will have signs posted for the reunion so I hope that helps!

Hi everyone. Less than a month until the reunion and we can’t wait! If you have any questions or concerns, send us a message. We will try to keep you informed via the FB group and the website, www.solsethreunion.com

We (Doug’s family) will be providing sloppy joes and shredded turkey sandwiches. Please bring a side dish of your choice to share, and your beverages of choice. We are still working on the security guard situation, so we will let you know if cold beer can be one of those beverages of choice 🙂

We will also provide plates, napkins, and silverware.

There are nice indoor restrooms next to the picnic shelter, and a brand new playground.

There are hiking and biking trails near Chambers Grove park. This area of the St Louis River is very popular for canoeing and kayaking, and there is a landing right at the park.

If you’d like to fish, you can do so right from the shoreline near the pavilion.

Before or after the reunion, be sure to check out beautiful Jay Cooke State Park which is very near Chambers Grove Park.

From Laurie:

Recently I was talking with Aunt Elaine about the Reunion and she brought up a terrific idea! She thought it would be wonderful if we could all share family stories. Funny, not so funny, sad, long, or short-whatever you would choose to share. We would like to have them all recorded somewhere so everyone could have access to them, read them and enjoy them. I have heard some of the family stories and they are wonderful!! Some are hilarious!! It would be a shame to lose them so let’s share, share, share!! Let the story telling begin!! Please email your stories to me by Wednesday, August 1st so I will have time to get them put together by the Reunion!
